our Story

What started as just another Tuesday night at Gordy's turned out to be God's perfect plan for our paths to cross. Looking back, we know that what began that night has grown into the greatest adventure of our lives.

Our first date was on Valentine's Day in 2019. We spent the night shooting at the gun range before heading back to the very bar where we first met, and from that moment on, we knew there was something special between us. As the months went by, we filled our days with movie nights, new adventures, and eventually shared our very first "I love you" at Country Thunder.

A few months into dating, we planned our first trip to Clearwater Beach, and that's when we realized we loved exploring the world just as much as we enjoyed being together. We hiked through more than five national parks in Utah, experienced our first rodeo in Texas, and during COVID thought it would be a great idea to move in together to see if we could survive being around each other 24/7. Thankfully, we passed the test! It wasn't long before Rachel joined Jon and Yogi, and our little family felt complete.

We've been fortunate to experience so many incredible places. Our adventures have taken us all over - from hiking through Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier, and the national parks of Utah to ziplining through the rainforest in Costa Rica, wandering the Amalfi Coast, exploring Rome, Florence, Tuscany, and the Dolomites, cruising to Belize, the Bahamas, and Mexico, and road-tripping through California and New Mexico. Every destination has brought new memories and an even greater appreciation for experiencing life side by side.

One trip, however, will always hold a special place in our hearts. While visiting Arizona to hike the Grand Canyon, we planned what Rachel thought was just a couples photoshoot. Little did she know, Jon had something much bigger in mind. In the historic little town of Jerome, AZ, he got down on one knee and asked the question that would begin our next chapter together.

Now, we're counting down to our greatest adventure yet - becoming husband and wife. 🤍

Choosing a destination wedding felt like the perfect reflection of our relationship. Traveling together has always been one of our greatest joys, and there is nothing more meaningful to us than celebrating this next chapter surrounded by the people who have supported us every step of the way. We wanted our wedding to be more than just one day - we wanted it to be an unforgettable experience where our favorite people could relax, celebrate, and create new memories alongside us.
